Description
As you take in the incredible view of the sprawling city of Barcelona from the roof of La Pedrera, the eyes of the oddly shaped chimney pots fashioned from the remnants of discarded broken early 20th Century Cava bottles, and also known as Espanta Bruixes (Witch scarers) appear to watch your every move. Fascinating, intriguing and yet strangely alluring, these towering ghostly figures of Casa Mila (also known as 'the stone quarry' have been here for more than 100 years and were designed by architect Antoni Gaudi. You can't escape Gaudi's contributions to this fabulous city, his unique works are everywhere and this very famous Spanish son has definitely left his mark. I hand blended textures with my original photograph to compliment the other worldly feel of this classic Barcelona scene.
